We are going to have fun today! Have you ever heard of or tried Zentangle? It is an active, creative form of meditation where you create beautiful, structured designs whether you are an artist or not. It is an exercise in mindfulness and encourages being present in the moment. It will bring a sense of calm to your day.
I will first show you a video from the creators of Zentangle where they describe the development of this meditative technique. Then I will show you a video where a person is creating a beautiful design with simple strokes that we can easily follow. It is an ideal meditative tool for both children and adults.
If you do not have a pen and paper in front of you, pause the video to gather them. Pause the video at any time to give yourself time to mimic the artist’s steps.
Further information can be found at Zentangle.com. The internet is filled with information on this meditative practice and really cool, creative designs that are simple to recreate.
Until next time, may the good Lord bless you, keep you, and hold you close.

As a wife, mother, sister daughter, etc., I play many roles every day. I refer to this as my “juggling act.” Are you a juggler, too? Jugglers need a fine sense of balance. How does one achieve such balance?

This is my fourth reflection on the Eucharistic Prayers. During this year devoted to the Eucharistic Revival, I am reflecting on the words that we hear in the Eucharistic Prayers when we celebrate Mass.
