During this year devoted to the Eucharistic Revival across our nation, I would like to reflect with you on the words that we hear in the Eucharistic Prayers when we celebrate Mass. The words might just go over our heads if we are not paying attention. But when we really reflect on them, they invite us to have a personal encounter with God. I would like to reflect on some of those words with you.
The presider at Mass has 13 Eucharistic Prayers from which to choose, based perhaps on a theme in the scripture readings that day, the Church Season of the Year, or what is going on in the local or world community that day.
First, I will look at: The Eucharistic Prayer for Reconciliation I.

An Assembling God’s Puzzle video
By Fr. Garry Richmeier
It seems to be part of our DNA to sort everything in life into two categories — right or wrong, good or bad. Of course, we are always on the “right” side and to demonstrate our “rightness” we demonize the other side and problems ensue. How can we break the cycle?

I hope that my reflections make you more attentive to the Eucharistic Prayer at the next Mass you attend. When you really listen to the readings and the prayers, the pieces of the puzzle of the Mass come together and you see the incredible vision God has for us.
