The Missionaries of the Precious Blood, U.S. Province, the religious society of priests and brothers who sponsor Precious Blood Renewal Center, has made the Guest House at the Renewal Center the object of their summer appeal.
The Guest House, built in the 1980s, needs updating and renovations, including making the house more accessible to guests who face mobility issues. The appeal letter from the Missionaries specifies making the Guest House’s front entrance and its first-floor bedroom and bathroom accessible to guests with physical disabilities.
Money raised through the summer appeal will help fund those renovations. You can read more about the appeal here.
We at the Renewal Center have never before asked users of the Renewal Center for financial support beyond offsetting programming costs. Asking our users and friends for this kind of assistance is new to us, but we feel honored that the Missionaries’ U.S. Province has chosen to support us with this appeal and we want to support their efforts.
If you can make a financial contribution to update and renovate our Guest House, we would very much appreciate it. You can do it online here: Online Donations.
For those who prefer to donate by phone or would like more information about supporting the Missionaries’ appeal, please call their development office at 419-925-4516 ext. 3712 or email them at mission@preciousbloodus.org.
“This is more than a construction project. It is a bold statement of welcome,” says Precious Blood Father Kevin Scalf, executive director of mission advancement for the Missionaries.
“These improvements may be modest, but their meaning is profound,” Fr. Scalf continues. “They tell every guest, ‘You belong here.’ They ensure that anyone seeking rest, reflection and renewal will find not only open hearts but also open doors.”
“Your gift helps make the welcome complete. Together, we can create a space where hospitality is not just spoken, but lived,” Fr. Scalf says.
