Welcome to all who are joining us by computer, tablet and other devices as we pray and sing together today. Thank you for being with us.
Here in the United States, we have recently inaugurated a new president and vice president after a turbulent transfer of power. Today we pray for God’s Holy Spirit and the gift of wisdom to descend on them to make them excellent leaders for our nation.
Also, we will soon begin the Season of Lent, a time when we will follow Jesus into the desert and allow the same Holy Spirit to shape and re-shape us in order to live as intentional disciples of Jesus.
We Prayer
Veni Sancte Spiritus. Come, Holy Spirit.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful.
And kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created.
And you will renew the face of the earth.
Lord,
by the light of the Holy Spirit
you have taught the hearts of your faithful.
In the same Spirit
help us to relish what is right
and always rejoice in your consolation.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Thank you for joining us from various places around the country and around the world in this virtual Taize Prayer in the new year.
Please join us again on the first Thursday of March.
And in the meantime, check out our Precious Blood Renewal Center website for other offerings that you can access through the internet, especially as we approach the Season of Lent.

An Assembling God’s Puzzle video
By Fr. Garry Richmeier
It seems to be part of our DNA to sort everything in life into two categories — right or wrong, good or bad. Of course, we are always on the “right” side and to demonstrate our “rightness” we demonize the other side and problems ensue. How can we break the cycle?

I hope that my reflections make you more attentive to the Eucharistic Prayer at the next Mass you attend. When you really listen to the readings and the prayers, the pieces of the puzzle of the Mass come together and you see the incredible vision God has for us.
