This is a recording of “Introduction to Christian Mysticism” presented by Kristina Frank at Precious Blood Renewal Center in Liberty, Missouri, on March 5, 2026.

The presentation is part of the monthly series “Teach Us to Pray.” On the first Thursday of the month, practitioners of a variety of prayer styles, mostly from the Catholic tradition but also from other traditions, demonstrate prayer in their particular style. Learn more about the series here.

This presentation combines readings from several noted mystics, silence and sharing to come to a better understanding of what Christian mysticism is and how it invites us to a direct, transformative experience of God’s presence.

Kristina Frank is a spiritual director and staff member of the Souljourners Spiritual Direction Formation program. She is coordinator of Contemplative Outreach KC and is a Certified Enneagram Teacher, working regularly with individuals and groups.
