Welcome back to Precious Blood Renewal Center for our second Eastern meditation.

Today we will join the Apostles who were gathered in the Upper Room on the first day of the week after the death and burial of Jesus.

Our meditation today will focus on a reading from the Gospel of John 20:19-23. In the meditation video, you can listen to Fr. Ron Will read the passage, but you can also read it here ahead of time if you wish.

Fr. Ron will also lead us in a prayerful sung chant. The words he will sing three times are:

There is a longing in our hearts for you, oh Lord to reveal yourself to us.
There is a longing in our hearts for love, we only find in you are God.

As you begin this contemplative prayer, come to a comfortable seated position. Take a few deep breaths. Let go of any distractions you may have. Forget as best you can your “To Do List” for the day. Take a few more deep breaths:  breathe in the new life of spring and of Easter; breathe out any negative thoughts, any anxieties.

And let us begin.

[Fr. Ron Will, a Precious Blood priest and spiritual director, is a graduate of Catholic Theological Union and Creighton University’s School of Christian Spirituality. He has a special interest in helping form intentional disciples of Jesus, encouraging others to go spiritually deep-sea diving to explore a deeper relationship with God, and walking with people as they dive into the ocean of God’s mystery actually experiencing God rather than simply dipping one’s toe into the water.]
