On April 20, the Renewal Center joins with the Dialogue Institute of Kansas City to co-host an Iftar, the dinner that ends the daily fasts during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The recipe Lucia Ferrara prepares today, Kadinbudu Kofte or Turkish Meatballs, is a dish that Turkish Muslim families will have at their Iftar celebrations.
Lucia also talks with Uma Geyik from the Dialogue Institute to learn about Ramadan and why this dish graces Iftar dinners.
This will be the fourth year that the Renewal Center and the Dialogue Institute co-host an event. This year will be a virtual dinner. You can join us by Zoom (Register here to get a Zoom invitation the day of the event) or watch on YouTube.
