Theme: “Light from Light for Light”

A single candle can brighten a dark room. A bank of candles floods the room with light.
A single voice can sing beautifully. An entire chorus singing in harmony inspires.

Join the Liberty Area Ministerial Alliance for an evening for sung praise and prayers for unity.  No registration required. The prayer service will be at:

    First Presbyterian Church
    138 N Main Street
    Liberty, Missouri 64068

The prayer service is the local celebration of the international Week of Prayer for Christian Unity organized annually for 117 years by the Faith and Order Commission of the World Council of Churches and the Vatican’s Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity.

The prayer service will be conducted in the style of the Taizé community, an ecumenical, monastic community in France. Taizé prayer is a meditative candle-lit form of community prayer that includes simple chants, periods of silence and prayers of praise and intercession.

The Theme: Christ is “Light from the Light,” sent into this world with a mission: to shine God’s Light into this troubled world, and to bring us into loving communion with each other and with God. Thus, “Light from Light for Light.”

    No registration required.

Please stay after the service for fellowship and conversation.
