    Coming to Light: Being Seen and Known

    Winter Solstice Celebration

    Presented by Fr. Joe Nassal, CPPS

    We stand on the threshold of light. Though we struggle and stagger in the dark, seeking the light, our eyes adjust, and in the shadows, images are revealed. With so many in our world stumbling in the dark, feeling invisible, being seen and known by God means we are visible. Each person counts. Each one matters.

    We gather to wait in the darkness to see what might come to light. What hope might emerge?

    Where can I go from Your Spirit?
    Or where can I flee from Your presence?
    Even the night shall be light about me;
    Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
    But the night shines as the day;
    The darkness and the light are both alike for you.

    –Psalm 139

    Our gathering this evening will include a meditative walk to the Reconciliation Labyrinth with luminaries to light the way.

    We will conclude with a simple supper.

    Some people have asked about COVID-19 protocols at the Renewal Center. We want you to know that we practice social distancing and require masks indoors.

    We also have a capacity limit as part of our COVID protocols. If any program meets that limit, a waiting list is begun. If your name is on a waiting list and a spot becomes available, you will be notified and you have two days to register.
